Position Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the Civil Estimator is to prepare accurate and timely preparation of estimates for project bids and proposals and will also be involved in the day to day activities of construction.

  • DOT project experience utilizing estimating software.
  • Quantify project components assigned by the leading estimator
  • Visit project to understand site conditions/restrictions
  • Review plans and specifications
  • Provide accurate take
  • off
  • Contact subcontractors, suppliers and specialty services for quotes
  • Analyzing and entering quotes
  • Education
    Bachelors Degree
    Position Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future
  • Minimum 3 years of estimating in all aspects of large heavy/highway construction projects (Structures, Bridges, Underground, Earthwork and Concrete Paving)
  • A minimum of 3 years working for a heavy civil GC, CM, or structural Engineer is required
  • Additional working knowledge preferred but not required, Heavy Bid and Primavera P6
  • Field operations experience is strongly preferred
