About this Position:

The Placement Leader is a subject matter expert that coordinates placement decisions to manage an associate's approved accommodations. The position requires investigation of reasonable accommodation or job requirement modification, documentation, and auditing. This position ensures and facilitates effective communication between medical, manufacturing leadership and injured associates to ensure that an associate's current accommodation is within his/her restriction limitations while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities include:

* Manages daily operations of the placement team and mentors contract teams. Provides timely guidance and feedback to help the team strengthen their knowledge and skills. Documents case management and placement decisions within Restriction Management Computer System / MDRS. Daily responsible for maintaining confidential medical information.

* Leads and is responsible for associate placement internally and externally and reasonable accommodation within ADA guidelines. Accountability for key compliance areas related to medical placement, and actively works with internal and external providers. Interacts directly with associates, early intervention teams, safety, medical and manufacturing leaders to accomplish goals across functions

* Supports site medical leader and occasionally fills in duties as needed for medical leader. Develops and implements placement procedures, training, and auditing methods. Tracks data to analyze trends and makes recommendations for continuous improvement. Sets challenging targets and develops a plan to check the results and identify countermeasures for gaps.

* Works with cross function team to ensure improvements and compliance in the areas of restriction manage, including HR, business teams, and legal.

* Understands expectations in the areas of ethics, compliance, and company policy and acts accordingly. Maintains integrity and confidentiality of associate medical records

Who we are seeking:

Required Experience:

A minimum of 3-6 years of experience, based on education

Required Education:

An Associate degree, Bachelor degree or relevant Honda experience

Other job-specific skills:

* Computer knowledge and efficiency in Microsoft Office programs, as well as windows-based systems

* Consistently identify opportunities for continuous improvement

* Develop and execute activities/tasks to achieve strategic objectives

* Collect data and apply business knowledge to solve a range of problems

* Effectively lead project themes

* Effectively sell ideas, securing buy-in from individuals or team

* Demonstrate technical proficiency, with expertise on some topics, within technical area Build technical, Honda Way, and Department knowledge
