Job Description
Develop your engineering career at JLL! The Electrician performs various electrical installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs at our clients classified facility/campus. You will work as part of a JLL facility engineering team of 5 at a 150,000+ square feet campus in Northeast Indiana!
Job Title: Stationary Licensed Journeyman Electrician
Location: Fort Wayne, IN 46818
Type of Employment: Full-time w/JLL employee benefits within 1 month of employment
Schedule: On-site, Monday-Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (flexible)
Reporting To: JLL Facilities Manager & Account Director
Additional Perks: no travelling, rotating on-call schedule for after hours emergencies, overtime opportunities, and on-site tools provided
Estimated compensation for this position is: $34.18 - $40.43 an hour paid bi-weekly
The compensation range listed is an estimate and not guaranteed. A salary offer will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data.
What your day-to-day will look like:This position includes installation and repair of electrical equipment, wiring, lighting, and associated components.
Perform hands-on repair & maintenance work on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building automation systems, card access systems, door & gates systems, building envelope systems, grounds and parking lots, interior finish systems, lighting systems, and various other R&M tasks associated with operation of a commercial property.
Possess hands on skills and knowledge to complete required electrical repairs and maintenance on commercial Buildings and
Building Systems (including but not limited to: HVAC, Lighting, Emergency Power, Transfer Switches, Uninterruptable Power Sources (UPS) Generators, Vertical Transportation, Life Safety, and Building Automation Systems) using industry standard tools and in accordance with all codes, laws, and regulations.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
Comprehensive knowledge of Safe Work practices especially regarding energized work, working at heights and confined spaces.
Ability to recognize, assess and mitigate or eliminate risk.
Ability to understand and use proper PPE for associated tasks
Evaluate, train, teach and coach a work force of Lead Engineers, Facility Engineers, and Maintenance Technicians as requested by supervisors.
Perform and assist in identification and implementation of OM&R Strategies to ensure safe, reliable and efficient Electrical gear, equipment and devices within a geographic territory.
Execute JLL Quality control audits and inspections conducted throughout the territory and deficiency reports provided to supervisors.
Provide technical assistance, training and support in advanced electrical maintenance, repair, installation, troubleshooting, and hands-on repair guidance in support of teams within a territory
Required Skills and Experience: Licensed electrician in the Allen county or Fort Wayne city issued Journeyman or Master Electrician License required
Knowledge of electrical theory, safety procedures, and building codes and adhere, in strict accordance, to all applicable safety policies, procedures, and practices
High School Diploma or equivalent
Completion of anelectrical apprenticeship program or a vocational training program/trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable
A minimum one to 4+ years of on-the-job electrical work experience in the commercial or industrial industry
Knowledge and use of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Building Management System (BMS) and Fire Life Safety systems.
Proficiency with using computer & software applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and comfortable using up to 30 foot ladders
Ability to perform all work using the proper personnel protective equipment (PPE)
This position may require the ability to obtain a security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.
