Job Description
Our team, supporting The USN Next Generation Enterprise Networks Recompete (NGEN-R) Contract, has an immediate need for a Communications Network Technician 2 with demonstrated experience in troubleshooting Local Area Networks/Base Area Networks/Wide Area Networks (LAN/BAN/WAN), and other network related problems. Primary responsibilities include:
* Administer LAN/BAN/WANs, schedule conversions and cutovers, and coordinate with all responsible users and sites
* Work with the technicians and managers to troubleshoot outages and resolve network related issues
* Create maintenance tickets
* Understand, implement, and follow processes in accordance with current policies and procedures
* Install and maintain network devices at the site
Job Requirements
* Must possess an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) network support certification such as a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
* Must possess an Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II such as a Security + CE certification
* Must have at least 4 years of experience in networking (WAN, WLAN)
