Campus Assistant Registrar
Hondros College of Nursing

Hondros College of Nursing is hiring a Campus Assistant Registrar at our Indianapolis campus!

  • Daily entering of attendance records of lecture and lab instruction at the Campus
  • Complete file audit of all incoming and returning students for accuracy and compliance
  • Evaluate, track, file, and scan into SIS all student signed course documents, academic letters, and advising forms
  • Collect, verify, and audit attendance daily for errors
  • Review and complete outreach to students absent from course(s)
  • Assist Registrar's Department with the collections and validation of midterm and final grades
  • Process withdrawals and course drop requests
  • Process leave of absence (LOA) requests
  • Process requests for re-entry and reinstatement
  • Maintain, update, and audit SIS data such as GPA group, anticipated graduation date/term, program information, and transcript comments
  • Process student registration for incoming and returning students
  • Process all registration that falls outside of the online registration window
  • Evaluate course offering and provide recommendations to consolidate/open lectures, labs, and clinicals with Campus Leadership/Registrar.
  • Process course offering updates in SIS
  • Oversee the campus course waitlist
  • Oversee the campus quarterly hotlist provided by the Registrar by sending notifications, updating as directed, and scheduling for advising
  • Ensures compliance (FERPA, accrediting agencies, local, state, and federal regulations)
  • Performs routine Registrar's Office tasks, such as processing enrollment verifications, data entry, addressing student/faculty/staff inquiries as needed
  • Support the catalog committee, and ensure all content is accurate
  • Conduct training and implementation of new/updated policies/procedures
  • Responds to phone and e-mail inquiries in a timely manner
  • Participate in state organizations such as the Ohio Association of Collegiate Registrar's and Admissions Officers (OACRAO)
  • Other projects and duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Prior work experience at an institution of higher education in the Registrar's Office or other administrative office preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of Federal Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
  • Proven skills in the areas of leadership, project management, and customer service
  • Strong operational knowledge of collegiate procedures, and experience in computerized student record systems are required
  • Microsoft Office or similar software
  • A strong knowledge of compliance and accreditation. Preferably with State Board of Career Colleges and Schools, ABHES, DOE, and OBN
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Communicate effectively in writing and orally
  • Have the ability to analyze, synthesize and disseminate complex information, identify concerns and alternatives, and formulate feasible and logical solutions.
  • Must be willing to learn new technology and develop new skills
  • The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to make sound professional judgments, the desire to work collaboratively in a team environment, and the ability to handle stress in a positive manner
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
