Job Description

About the Role:

As a COPCE Manager, you will work with multiple groups within the COPCE department. You will learn about each of the individual products and costing processes used in that specific area. Oversee the department to make sure the group is moving toward or aligned with senior management objectives. Identify areas or process changes that could be improved. Work with others in depth when needed. Support the employees within the group ensuring adequate training and understanding of the company goals and leadership principles. This position will report to the Engineering Services Vice President. This role has the flexibility to work from one of our many plant locations.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the department metrics.
  • Manage the group with their process direction and set priorities.
  • Ensure the group has access to the appropriate information needed to perform their job requirements.
  • Resolve conflicts within the group or complaints from other departments.
  • Work with Finance to ensure the costing and pricing are in line with the company expectations.
  • Maintain good communication with the members of the group.
  • Have a good understanding of the company goals and leadership principles. Be able to relay those to others.
  • Work with other managers to make sure we are supporting the corporate objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned

Let's Talk About Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Associate degree with work experience. (Preferred Major: Supervision, or Business)
  • Understanding of cost accounting methods and business impact of cost/price decisions
  • Able to use logic and reason to identify strengths and weaknesses of the different processes
  • Good Interpersonal and team skills
  • Ability to lead and articulate a vision
  • Strong communication skills -- verbal and written
  • Problem solving mindset
  • Able to handle or work in stressful environment. Must be able to multitask and keep multiple projects going
  • Know how to delegate responsibilities and reprioritize when needed
  • Able to work and communicate with others in a remote setting
