Overview:

William Charles Electric/Power Delivery is looking for an experienced Field Engineer. The Field Engineer will provide support to the Project Manager and Construction Manager on various projects. General responsibilities include implementation of the project specific Quality Plan, site specific plans, material inventory and receiving.

The ability and willingness to travel to projects around the country is required for this position.

Responsibilities
    Performs field survey work in regards to layout and tracking of work activities, utilizing PC based software and GPS station/field equipment.
  • Manages project specific quality control records and ensuring that required reporting is accomplished.
  • Planning, scheduling and coordinating to ensure that all required audits/inspections are performed and documented.
  • Assist with material inventory and receiving paperwork.
  • Assist with final job closeout, as-builts, job binder creation.
  • Assist with subcontractor scheduling and management
  • Will provide other duties as assigned.
  • 100% Project Specific travel is required.
  • Extended work hours and weekend work may be required.
  • Assist with RFI (Request for Information) submittals
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (construction management, civil engineering or equivalent) preferred
  • Previous construction experience desired
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong blue print reading/interpretation skills.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software packages quickly
  • Proficiency with Microsoft suites program.
  • Strong communication skills. Verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with GPS and Surveying Equipment
  • Process driven with a strong attention to details.
  • Customer focused.
  • Preferred experience with some or all of this software: ProCore, E-builder, View Point, Build to Win
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H-1B visa status)
