Job/Internship Description

Dana is a global leader in the supply of highly engineered driveline, sealing, and thermal-management technologies that improve the efficiency and performance of vehicles with both conventional and alternative-energy powertrains. Serving three primary markets - passenger vehicle, commercial truck, and off-highway equipment - Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.

Position Overview:

Individual to manage and continuously improve processes and system to support procurement of direct materials, indirect materials, logistics, and management of the supply chain. Focus will be on the supply chain planning processes, together with optimizing the total cost of ownership, while improving cycle time and reducing inventories and net working capital.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Internship will focus on projects defined by management and managed by the Intern to completion. This will include:

  • refining the scope of the projects assigned
  • benchmarking existing processes and system
  • defining the desired end result
  • managing multiple projects and timelines to completion
  • report out and successful hand off.
  • Participate in special projects related to supply chain effectiveness.
  • Review and update planning parameters
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Work with vendors, internal and external customers on issues;

Knowledge & Skills Summary:

  • Knowledge of key supply chain concepts
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Education and work Experience:

Working on BS in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred
