Job Description

Role + Responsibilities

  • Scout, select, qualify, develop, and manage suppliers for all types of parts needed to support day-to-day operations.
  • Build strong supplier relationships and facilitate early supplier engagement in regard to all sourcing/purchasing aspects of phase-in and phase-out projects.
  • Represent Endress+Hauser Automation Greenwood in support of global sourcing efforts and on campus teams, projects, and/or events, in alignment of the overall sourcing strategy (including facilitation)
  • Develop continuous improvement strategies to ensure business needs are routinely met, both externally and internally.
  • Execute sourcing aspects of engineering changes, and support first article inspection (FAI) process as needed.
  • Coordinate with material planning to transfer quarterly sales forecast to direct suppliers to ensure adequate supply of direct materials.
  • Update relevant material master data in SAP as needed.

Qualification + Profile

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university and three (3) to five (5) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of sourcing concepts and strategies along with the ability to negotiate stocking agreements and/or contracts
  • Strong knowledge of SAP (or similar ERP) and Microsoft Office
  • Customer focused, self-driven and capable of prioritizing workload within a dynamic environment
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to read, interpret and analyze business documents and engineering drawings
  • Ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and suppliers from diverse cultures and backgrounds
  • Travel: approximately 10%, including international
