POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a first shift (6AM - 2:30PM) Shipping & Receiving Clerk II/Team Lead based in Indianapolis, IN. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk II/Team Lead is responsible for shipping the product to the customer through staging, picking, packing and scanning orders in accordance to documented procedures in order to maintain on-time delivery.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $18/hr - $24/hr plus mandatory overtime as needed (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • and cross train new employees coming into the department
  • Operate material handling equipment to complete the requirements of the job responsibilities including, but not limited to: Lift Trucks (sit-down, swing mast, & standup), pallet riders, pallet jacks (manual & automatic), dock levelers, fork extension, order pickers, and TSP-Turret Forklift.
  • Ensure materials are sorted, verified, and supplied to appropriate stations or staging areas as required to meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Move materials/components to multiple areas floor, pallets, conveyors, and workstations.
  • Prepare product for shipment to customers including packaging and crating of product and preparing shipping documentation.
  • Transport products ready for shipments from the assembly areas to the shipping conveyors using the proper material handling equipment.

WHAT WE REQUIRE

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Math skills normally associated with addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
  • Ability to work at heights of 20' to 30' in the air.
  • 2 years' experience in the field or related area
  • Ability to perform within a fast paced, team environment to maintain monthly, weekly, and daily production goals.
  • Basic proficiency in English - reading, verbal and written communication

  • Knowledge of SAP system, RF scanners
  • Strong Time Management and organizational ability.
  • Knowledge of UPS handling, and other shipping standards
