What this job involves -

The Storeroom Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing inventory, receiving and issuing tools, parts, and equipment for facility operations. They utilize a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for inventory management, conduct tests and repairs on tools and equipment, and maintain accurate records. The ideal candidate should possess trade schooling or similar working experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

What is your day to day?
Receive, store, identify and issue tools, parts and equipment used by facility operations personnel.

Accomplishes inventory management through manual counts, paperwork and the use of a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS - Blue Mountain RAM).

Just In Time (JIT) parts arrival, sourcing out for better pricing, partnering with Facilities Maintenance and other local vendors in building strong relationships, documentation, and communication.

Inventory stock and update database to ensure accurate records are maintained at all times.

Recommend use of substitutes where designated or normally used items are unavailable.

Assess return of non-expendable items and follow up on return for damage and required maintenance.

Publishes reports showing details of parts or tools estimated time of arrival and parts inside kitting cage.

Determine tools and equipment function properly and conduct necessary tests, calibration and repairs are made based upon visual, operational, and dimensional checks along with reports from users.

Perform tool maintenance such as cleaning of tools, parts, and equipment upon return by technicians.

Any/all other duties/tasks assigned.


Desired experience and technical skills.

Required:
Trade schooling or 2+ years of similar working experience.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Self-motivated with ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Familiar with Microsoft Office programs such as Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
