Warehouse Inventory Coordinator - US - York, PA

The Blueprint (Role Profile)

The Warehouse Inventory Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity within the distribution center. This position will also monitor slotting, inventory levels, and product movement.

The Build (Responsibilities)

  • Review cycle count inventory adjustments for outstanding items on specified reports.
  • Research items as required which may require working with other departmental leads to identify root cause.
  • Investigate inventory errors and discrepancies to identify root cause; report root cause issues and make recommendations in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate and integrate efforts across operational departments to enhance inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor and control inventory integrity by troubleshooting and/or identifying potential inventory outside the respective designated areas.
  • Audit counts and recounts on exception reports, close batches daily.
  • Perform inventory adjustments to provide accurate data.
  • Assist with conducting quarterly and annual physical inventories.
  • Strategize product management using slotting philosophy.
  • Optimize operations by slotting, re-slotting product, and managing storage locations.
  • Determine and maintain location, zone setup, and zone maintenance.
  • Determine and maintain product statistics, configuration, and master data.
  • Resolve daily product and inventory control issues.
  • Process obsolete products through ECR/ECN procedure.
  • Manage specials orders from receiving through shipping.
  • Manage and assist operations to complete work orders.
  • Process returns and putbacks.
  • Complete activity-based counts and reconciliation cycle counts.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

The Toolbox (Qualifications)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum 1-year related work experience.
  • Forklift and/or pallet jack experience.
  • Inventory control experience and root cause analysis.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; familiar with WMS software.
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to work overtime hours (more than 40 hours per week and Saturdays) as required.
  • Able to consistently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to consistently move in a full range of motion.
  • Able to stand and sit for long periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of Manhattan SCALE WMS functions and transactions.
  • Ability to operate WMS test environment.
  • Understanding and participation in 6S concepts and events.
  • Understanding and participation in lean events.
